Position Overview:
The Senior Water Processing Engineer (SWPE) – Engineering Services acts as subject matter expert on water processing and purification issues in support of water and wastewater projects during design and construction phases in the power, municipal, industrial markets throughout the United States. Engineering Services involves multiple profit centers that are focused on providing a host of engineering and design services to the power generation market and our rapidly expanding presence in the municipal arena. The SWPE is responsible for developing process designs, bringing water into compliance for improvements to clarification and disinfection processes, disinfection byproducts reduction, organics control, taste and odor control, and residuals handling and disposal utilizing a variety of solutions including aeration, precipitative softening and recarbonation, dual media filtration, and chlorine/chloramines disinfection; nano-filtration, and UV irradiation. Water treatment plant issues addressed include site topography, solutions to minimize plant footprint and elimination of discharge residuals to water supply while yielding water fit for passage of SWDA regulatory requirements. Additionally, the SWPE is responsible for supporting business development efforts, proposal development, direct engagement on engineering only projects and consulting, design-build projects, and traditional power and water treatment projects within the municipal and power generation fields.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and Develop and effective water treatment processes by working within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers within a budget and schedule to execute design and engineering on projects.
- Monitor projects, analyze results, and maintain existing client relationships to facilitate communication and problem solving regarding current and future project performance.

The Staff Electrical Engineer designs and specifies electrical systems associated with municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities. Electrical systems include low and medium-voltage power, lighting, SCADA and process controls, voice/data communications, fiber optics, emergency power systems, UPS, security systems, CCTV, and fire alarm. Candidate will lead or assist in the execution of complex projects requiring the use of advanced techniques for the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and studies from inception to completion. Candidate will collaborate with multi-disciplined teams across multiple offices. Other duties as assigned.
